Student Travel Grants

There are 3 student travel grants (STG) in the amount of 500 &euro each for attending the 12th IEEE International Conference on High Performance Switching and Routing (IEEE HPSR 2011) to be held in Cartagena, Spain, July 4-6, 2011. Recipients of travel grants may have any nationality. The STG will be awarded on July 6, 2011, at the conference.

SELECTION CRITERIA:
  • Only (co-)authors of accepted papers can apply for a student travel grant. All student travel awardees are required to register for the conference and present the paper (or be present) at the conference.
  • Recipients of STG must be full-time students registered toward a Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. degree in engineering or related field in a college or university when submitting the application.
  • Recipients of STG must not receive funding for attending the conference from other sources.
A STG committee will evaluate the applicants and select the travel grant recipients.

TRAVEL GRANT APPLICATION PROCESS:

An application for a travel award will consist of a brief and summarized student's vita and a letter from the student. Applications can be submitted by email to the account stg_hpsr2011@upct.es with only one PDF document attached, which includes both the student's vita and the letter. The letter from the student must be only one-page long and should include:
  • Personal history, the paper title and the name of the rest of authors.
  • Affidavit that the student is registered toward a Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. degree in engineering or related field in a college or university.
  • Affidavit that the student has not received funding for attending the conference from other sources.
